Specify the cone and the pack separately
A wholesale cone inquiry needs two specifications: the cone itself and the unit in which it will be sold or distributed. Record cone dimensions, paper and tip details separately from pieces per pack, packs per display and displays per carton.
The linked GOMBA pink-cone listing identifies a 50-piece jar. That establishes a listed packing format for that reference, not a universal count for all cones. Jar dimensions, outer-carton quantities and alternative packing still need their own confirmation.
Compare packaging by the decision it supports
Choose the pack around your assortment and distribution plan. Ask for external measurements before planning a shelf or display. Do not infer the capacity of a different jar from a catalogue image.
| Format | Useful purchasing question | Record separately |
|---|---|---|
| Jar | What count and label area are supplied? | Jar dimensions, closure and carton count |
| Small pack | How many cones form one selling unit? | Pack dimensions and individual protection |
| Counter display | Which packs and quantities are included? | Assembled display size and replenishment units |
A size name is not a full specification
Request the dimensions and tip construction for the exact variant. Record paper composition and any adhesive information as documented by the supplier; do not substitute descriptions such as natural or premium for a material specification.
If a cone will be used with preparation equipment, identify the equipment and request a fit check for the selected cone. Similar size names are not proof of equipment compatibility. Keep performance statements out of the order brief unless supported for that exact configuration.
Make the quotation easy to reconcile
Ask the quotation to name the cone, color, pack count, label revision and outer packing. State whether quantities are expressed as individual cones, jars or cartons. This avoids comparing two prices that cover different units.
For branded packing, provide the destination and artwork before requesting a final sample. The acceptable labeling and commercial terms need confirmation for the order; the catalogue photograph is not an approval of those details.
